Striped Bass, Morone saxatilis
From the vault! This painting is from 2003! This is a rare and significant piece in that it is part of my timeline as an artist. I painted this one when I was living in Providence, RI as a graduate student and fly fishing Narragansett Bay for stripers when time would allow. It is framed with a Lefty's Deceiver fly I tied.
Here's your chance to own an original painting. It is framed in a unique silver wooden frame with an ivory outer mat, pale blue/ grey inner mat and UV protective glass. This is a collector's item.
**Note that the frame has a couple of chips in it (see pics) which have influenced the deep discount.**

My mission as an artist is to inspire an appreciation for and curiosity about nature and its creatures by communicating the aesthetic beauty of this planet’s amazing creatures as they really are.
It is my hope that this appreciation will result in acts of empathy & stewardship towards these incredible creatures portrayed in my paintings.
