Queen Angelfish, Holacanthus ciliaris
The Queen Angelfish is one of the most vividly colored creatures on the globe. With neon blues, greens, yellows, and reds, this fish and this print are stunningly beautiful. Queen Angels are named for their polka-dotted blue and black crown on their head. They are found in the Western Atlantic Ocean and primarily eat marine sponges. Their maximum size is about 18" long. 5%of the sales from this print are donated to Oceana, an organization dedicated to saving the world's oceans.

My mission as an artist is to inspire an appreciation for and curiosity about nature and its creatures by communicating the aesthetic beauty of this planet’s amazing creatures as they really are.
It is my hope that this appreciation will result in acts of empathy & stewardship towards these incredible creatures portrayed in my paintings.
