Moray Eel, Gymnothorax mordax
Moray Eels can sometimes be accidentally stumbled upon by divers when climbing around and under large rocks. Never stick your hand inside a hole in the rocks when you are diving in the tropics if you want to keep all of your digits. Featured in the book Catalina Island Dive Buddies by Mike Rivkin and Jon Council, illustrated by Nick Mayer.
