Horn Shark, Heterodontus francisci
Because Horn Sharks are not harvested for any reason, they are a common sight along the California coast, particularly on Catalina Island. They wield two sharp spines in front of each of their two dorsal fins which they use as defense against predators. Any West Coast diver will appreciate this piece as a reminder of a common sight when under the ocan's surface.
