Bonito

Bonito
Bonito, Sarda chiliensis
Bonito are the closest a surf fisherman gets to encountering a tuna. Often traveling with False Albacore, these fish are football-sized rockets. Fly fishermen flock to the beaches and jetties of the New England shore in the fall to seek them out. They are a symbol of fall on Martha's Vineyard.
