After six months of careful study, layering, and brushwork, I’m proud to unveil Marsh Monarch, a hand-painted tribute to the raw beauty, power, and enduring spirit of the Bull Redfish.

More than just a striking visual, this piece tells a story. It honors the life written across the scales of a true marsh legend: the scars, the weathered fins, the muscle shaped by years of tides, close calls, and survival. Every detail was painted with intention, from the glint of light on its coppery back to the subtle marks of a life well fought.

The Bull Redfish, or Red Drum (Sciaenops ocellatus), is more than a sport fish. To those who know the marsh, who’ve felt the stillness before a strike or watched a tail cut through the shallows at dawn, it’s a symbol of patience, power, and deep respect. These fish can live decades, navigating the same grasses and channels season after season, returning again and again to the places they call home.

Marsh Monarch is for the anglers, naturalists, and storytellers — for anyone who’s waited, watched, and understood what it means to meet one of these giants face to face.  You can view the prints here and the one of a kind original here.
